Hydromer closes coating services agreement

Hydromer, a developer of specialized polymer and hydrogel products for the medical device and pharmaceutical markets, has entered into a 4.5-year coating services agreement with an interventional device developer, which declined to be named, according to the Branchburg, N.J.-based company.

Under terms of the agreement, Hydromer has agreed to apply its proprietary and patented hydrophilic coatings on various blood clot extraction and vascular-access catheters using the firm’s internally designed and built catheter coating machines.
