Kopp Development awarded contract by MAGNET

KOPP Development Inc. (KDI) has announcing that it has been awared a three-year preferred purchasing agreement with Mid-Atlantic Group Network of Shared Service Inc. (MAGNET), a group purchasing network based out of Mechanicsburg, Pa. MAGNET has over 12,000 members in 20 states, including 840 acute care hospitals, 1,100 long-term care facilities, 9,000 physicians and 400 alternate care facilities.

As part of the contact, KDI will provide its FERRALERT Ferromagnetic Detection System to MAGNET's members. These systems serve to notify personnel within a MRI suite in the event of ferromagnetic objects becoming hazardous projectiles from the magnetic attraction of the MRI's magnet.

Additionally, GPO members will be able to purchase KDI's equipment at negotiated group discount prices through the duration of the contact which ends March 2008, KDI said.
