L.A. children?s hospital selects InnerWireless

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles will deploy InnerWireless’ Horizon in its existing facility and its new 317-bed hospital scheduled to open in 2010.

With Horizon, the hospital will have whole-house clinical mobility including the ability to wirelessly deliver voice, data and location services such as telemetry, WiFi, cellular/PCS and asset tracking, according to the Richardson, Texas-based company.

With the deployment of Horizon, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles will become a converged wireless hospital with unlimited wireless capabilities, InnerWireless said.

The Childrens Hospital Los Angeles currently retains the services of 514 physicians.
