L.A. pediatric hospital taps GE for dose-tracking

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has installed GE Healthcare’s DoseWatch technology, a radiation dose-tracking and reporting system that seeks to analyze patient exposure levels over time.

DoseWatch tracks and archives dosimetric data and generates integrated statistical analysis by device, operator or protocol. It captures standardized dose information on CT, interventional and x-ray systems from a range of equipment vendors. The system supplements existing dose awareness tools to help hospitals assess and improve dose management, according to GE.
