Las Vegas imaging center buys Toshiba Aquilion One CT system
Toshiba America Medical Systems has installed its Aquilion One dynamic volume CT system at Nevada Imaging Centers in Las Vegas.
The Aquilion One system utilizes 320 high-resolution detector rows (0.5 mm in width) to image an entire organ in a single gantry rotation, according to the Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba. The company said the result produces a 4D clinical video, showing up to 16 cm of anatomical coverage—enough to capture the entire brain or heart and show movement such as blood flow.
Nevada Imaging Centers has five locations in the Las Vegas Valley, and Toshiba said that this is the first Aquilion One sold in the Western United States.
