Medcon information management products selected by cardiovascular group in southern California

Medcon Telemedicine Technology Inc. was recently selected by Cardiovascular Medical Group of Southern California (CVMG) to provide multimodality 64 slide CT, echo and Nuclear medicine, web and archival information management products for the organization's cardiology practice, according to a release.

Medcon's TCS Symphony will be installed at CVMG's Beverly Hills Center, and will acquire images from GE's LightSpeed VCT 64-slice CT system, Siemens ultrasound systems and Philips nuclear medicine systems. The TCS Symphony will provide viewing capability for local multi-modality procedures, and will also distribute the procedures throughout CVMG's multi-site network in Beverly Hills and Culver City facilities via Medcon's MDWeb application. Additionally, MDWeb will be integrated into CVMG's EMR product NotesMD, which is an internet-based patient chart.

Upon the completion of the installation, images and reports will be available in each consultation and examination room, with off-site access as well using a secure internet connection.
