Medical Association gets better medicine, efficiency through Misys EMR
Deer Lake Medical Association (DLMA), a physician practice with five locations in Pennsylvania, installed an EMR from Misys Healthcare Systems in 2003. Since that time, the organization has reduced:
- Adverse drug events by 34 percent;
- Drug utilization by 15 percent;
- Laboratory utilization by 8.8 percent;
- Radiology utilization by 14 percent; and
- Billing errors by 78 percent
