Merge to provide cardiology data sharing systems to Ill. health system

Advocate Health Care, the largest health system in Illinois, has selected Chicago-based Merge Healthcare to provide a suite of cardiology image and data sharing systems.

Advocate will implement Merge’s complete cardiology suite to capture, manage and display cardiac images, as well as share hemodynamics and ECG data across the health system’s enterprise.

Among the Merge systems being implemented at Advocate are Merge Cardio, an enterprise image and information system; Merge Hemo, a catheterization lab knowledge tool for data collection and analysis; iConnect Access, a zero-download DICOM image and XDS viewer; and iConnect Share, an internet-based gateway for image sharing.
