Missouri health system picks Allscripts

Hannibal Regional Healthcare System has selected Allscripts' Sunrise Enterprise suite to connect caregivers throughout its nonprofit community hospital in Hannibal, Mo., and across local physician practices.

Hannibal Regional Hospital will transition from its existing inpatient clinical information system (CIS) to Sunrise Enterprise, which includes computerized provider order entry (CPOE) as well as integrated pharmacy, critical care and emergency department tools, according to Chicago-based Allscripts.

Allscripts and Hannibal Regional Healthcare System will provide direct integration between Sunrise Enterprise and the Allscripts Professional EHR currently in use at Hannibal Regional Medical Group (HRMG), a subsidiary of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System.

The ambulatory EHR currently connects and automates workflow for HRMG's 55 physicians and providers across 10 locations in Missouri and Illinois.

Hannibal Regional will also take advantage of Allscripts remote hosting to provide 24/7 access to the EHR, the company added.
