Missouri medical center selects BridgeHead for PACS archiving, backup

Western Missouri Medical Center has purchased BridgeHead Software’s BH PACStore and HT Backup for PACS archiving and backup.

BridgeHead’s backup and archiving solution will enable the facility to move older records to less expensive off-line tape, which can be stored securely in a vault, according to Carol McKinney, information systems director for the Warrensburg, Mo.-based medical center.

PACStore is a policy-based automated storage management system that analyses, monitors, and reports on primary disk utilization.  The system automatically copies and repositions data based on IT policies to a full range of secondary storage targets, BridgeHead said.

HT Backup is capable of performing backup and replication remotely for SAN environments, automating the preparation of a point-in-time split-image of data and then replicating it or backing it up to storage without impacting the live application environment, the Surrey, U.K.-based company said.
