Nightingale, Healthcare South sign EMR agreement
Nightingale Informatix, a healthcare application service provider (ASP) of electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management software, has signed a $475,000 contract with Healthcare South, a group practice of 45 healthcare providers at 11 private offices throughout the Boston area.
Under the terms of the agreement, Nightingale will grant all Healthcare South's healthcare providers access to an ASP EMR solution, and will provide associated maintenance services. The initial term of the agreement is two-and-a-half years, with an option to renew. Implementation and training will be billed separately as required.
Nightingale will manage each Healthcare South clinic's patient records in a hosted environment and Healthcare South's healthcare providers will be able to access patient data from any computer, anywhere without installing specific software or having to purchase extra hardware, according to the Markham, Ontario-based Nightingale.
The ASP EMR installation at all 11 clinics is expected to be completed by spring 2008.
