Novarad deploys PACS in Lone Star State
PACS developer Novarad has completed the installation of its flagship PACS at three Texas medical facilities, while also installing NovaRIS and NovaGM at one additional hospital.
Novarad installed NovaPACS, the company's turnkey PACS with a full-feature viewer and seven-year on-site archive with emergency off-site backup, at Hamilton General Hospital in Hamilton, The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center in Austin, Dallas Nephrology and Glen Rose Medical Center in Glen Rose, all in Texas. The latter institution also purchased NovaRIS and NovaMG breast imaging viewer, the American Fork, Utah-based Novarad stated.
NovaRIS offers automated scheduling and billing as well as specialized worklists for radiologists, administrative assistants, technologists, transcriptionists and billing specialists, according to Novarad. NovaMG breast imaging viewer combines customizable mammographic reading and hanging protocol sequences, the company added.
