Nuance equips London hospital with SpeechMagic

Nuance Communications reported that its speech recognition technology, SpeechMagic, has been deployed at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

More than 50 radiologists at the site are using SpeechMagic. The implementation was managed by Soliton IT, a partner of the Burlington, Mass.-based Nuance Healthcare. The Royal Free Hospital joins a clutch of other healthcare providers in London that have recently adopted Speechmagic including the University Hospital Lewisham, North Middlesex Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Soliton IT's Workflow Manager with Nuance's SpeechMagic provides a fully integrated reporting solution for RIS and PACS, Nuance said.
