N.Y. practice taps Carestream for PACS project

Radiologic Associates is installing Carestream Vue PACS with Vue Connect.

The Middletown, N.Y., practice aims to streamline its reading workflow and accelerate the delivery of radiology reports for the physicians' offices, imaging centers and hospitals it serves, according to Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream.

Radiologic Associates cited the ability to read for unaffiliated facilities from a single PACS with a global patient worklist as a factor in the decision, and will replace four PACS workstations with a single web-based PACS platform.

The practice also will deploy Carestream's Vue Motion zero-footprint, web-based enterprise viewer, which provides access to imaging studies and patient information on mobile devices as well as PCs and workstations.
