QuadraMed selected to implement HIS in Indiana

The Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana Inc. (CFNI) has chosen QuadraMed Corp. to implement a hospital information system (HIS).

The Munster, Indiana-based facility plans to utilize more than 30 fully integrated QuadraMed Affinity HIS and Quantim HIM products across its network. CFNI is the parent organization for the Community Healthcare System, which includes The Community Hospital in Munster; St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind.; and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Ind.

CFNI will implement the Affinity Patient Accounting and Access Management suites for revenue cycle management, and the Affinity Clinical Care Management suite for nursing, pharmacy and physicians enterprise-wide. The package includes QuadraMed's next-generation computerized physician order entry (CPOE) product. The three hospitals will also implement a complete Quantim health information management suite to meet all HIPAA and state regulations, facilitate compliance programs and improve data quality and reimbursement accuracy.
