Rad Partners expands CMO office, mammography providers' new executive and more leadership news

Chirag R. Parghi, MD, is taking on the role of chief medical officer at Solis Mammography, the company announced recently. Parghi starts his new position effective immediately.

The board-certified radiologist has been serving as the interim chief medical director of Solis, which bills itself as the nation’s largest independent breast screening provider. Before that, Parghi worked as the director of breast imaging for Solis care sites across the Houston area.

“As the most influential breast imaging company in the nation, it’s our obligation to not just offer services, but to lead,” Parghi said Sept. 14.  “Technology is now growing much faster than breast cancer, allowing us to find smaller and smaller cancers. It’s an honor and a privilege to be here at this pivotal time and help guide our next steps in advancing care.”

Rad Partners hires new leadership

Radiology Partners is expanding its chief medical officer leadership team, the El Segundo, California-based provider announced Wednesday, Sept. 22.

Ricardo Cury, MD, is joining as associate chief medical officer of data strategy while Catherine Everett has been named ACMO of analytics. With the new hires, RP’s Office of the Chief Medical Officer now employs 15 senior physician executives.

“Both Dr. Cury and Dr. Everett bring valuable experience and expertise to the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, and we are thrilled to expand and enhance our data and analytics capabilities through their leadership and collaboration with other RP physicians as well as radiology practices across the country,” said Chairman and CEO Rich Whitney.

Hyperfine fills out C-suite

Portable MRI specialist Hyperfine recently welcomed two new executives to the company.

The Guilford, Connecticut, firm appointed Kyla Pavlina, JD, as its chief people officer. It also announced Alok Gupta as its new chief financial officer.

"Hyperfine is changing the paradigm for MRI access across the globe, and that statement is as much about evolving technology as the human capabilities making that access possible," Pavlina said. "I couldn't be more excited to have a hand in bringing such an important diagnostic tool to so many people."

Jonathan B. Perlin, MD, will lead the Joint Commission as its next president and CEO effective March 1, 2022.

The American College of Radiology appointed Reina Munsch as vice president of marketing, public affairs and communications.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center renamed the Donna and Benjamin Rosen Chair in Radiology to the Hedvig Hricak Chair in Radiology, honoring the decorated radiologist.

Shine Medical Technologies LLC said Tuesday that the company has changed its name to Shine Technologies LLC.
