RSNA offers expanded virtual meeting
OAK BROOK (Nov. 7, 2014) – The 100th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the world’s premier forum for science, education and technology in radiology, is expected to attract more than 50,000 people from around the globe.
With over 5,000 scientific papers, posters, refresher courses and education exhibits, a technical exhibition covering more than 428,000 square feet, and special RSNA Centennial exhibits and activities throughout the week, RSNA 2014 offers a vast array of options to meet attendee interests and needs.
To help attendees get the most out of the meeting and for people who aren’t able to attend in person, RSNA offers the Virtual Meeting. The RSNA Virtual Meeting allows attendees to experience select sessions and features of RSNA 2014 on their own time, whether they are onsite in Chicago or online across the globe. The Virtual Meeting will include a wide variety of live and on-demand sessions during RSNA 2014 with on-demand sessions continuing through December 19.
This year’s Virtual Meeting offers 50 percent more content than last year and provides an opportunity for radiologic technologists to obtain continuing education credit.
Visitors to the Virtual Meeting page can view video highlights of past RSNA Virtual Meetings and explore the full slate of offerings planned for RSNA 2014.
Starting November 29, registered Virtual Meeting attendees can:
- Watch 60 live streaming courses, including plenary sessions, the image interpretation session, refresher courses, multisession courses, series courses and scientific sessions;
- Submit diagnoses for Cases of the Day consisting of five cases per subspecialty throughout the week;
- Earn Continuing Education credits by participating in live courses;
- View digital education exhibits and digital scientific presentations.
The Virtual Meeting begins Saturday, November 29, at 1:00 p.m. CT and continues 24 hours per day through Friday, December 5, at 3:00 p.m. CT. Content captured through live streaming will be available for viewing 24 hours after the live session concludes and will remain online for on-demand viewing through Friday, December 19. CME credit is not available for courses viewed on demand.
