S.C. physician group selects MaxMD for clinical integration

United Physicians of Charleston, an independent physician association in South Carolina, has chosen MaxMD to provide it with encrypted communications and other Web-based services for the association’s clinical integration initiative.

"The process of clinical integration also includes adopting healthcare IT,” said Beth Crowder, executive director of United Physicians. “Although our goal is to have all physicians on EMRs. The beauty of this program is that even without 100 percent of physicians using an EHR, we can still implement clinical integration now.”
