S.C. radiology group picks Carestream PACS

Carolina Radiology Associates, a group of 17 radiologists in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has purchased and installed Carestream Vue PACS and Vue RIS reporting module.

Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream said the new installation will allow the radiologists to integrate their reports into healthcare providers’ EMRs. The new system includes native voice recognition and automatic registration for CT, MR and PET exams.

The teleradiology division of Carolina Radiology Associates reads more than 70,000 imaging exams a year, and Carestream said the online enterprise viewer will allow the radiologists to share exam workload remotely.
