Scotland's eHealth program chooses Ensemble integration platform

Scotland's National Health System (NHS) has selected InterSystems Ensemble for electronic healthcare system integration.

Ensemble, a platform for integration and development of connected applications, was purchased within the framework contract for the Scottish patient management system, according InterSystems, a Cambridge, Mass.-based health IT company.

Ensemble will enable the management of costs, for example, through standardization, component re-use, integrating existing applications and building on prior IT investments, stated InterSystems.
