Sectra delivers mammo PACS to U.K.
Breast screening centers in the Kent region of the U.K. have implemented Sectra’s Breast Imaging PACS for screening mammograms.
The region-wide IT system will manage all breast images from 270,000 examinations completed each year by three breast screening centers in Kent.
By linking the hospitals’ mammography operations together, a flow of images and information is created throughout the Kent region. The end-to-end mammography system will manage breast images from the three centers to increase the availability of the service, Sectra said.
Sectra Breast Imaging PACS combines mammography workflow with the ability to read from remote locations while maintaining full productivity, resulting in the retrieval of medical image data of any dimension and complexity from any hospital site, according to the Linköping, Sweden-based provider of diagnostic imaging.
