Spanish government agency selects Barco?s displays

Spanish governmental agency Red.es has chosen several of Barco’s Coronis diagnostic display systems for the introduction and development of PACS in hospitals across Spain.

Barco’s partner in Spain, Telefonica Soluciones, will be responsible for the delivery and installation, the company said.

The contract consists of several medical displays to help accelerate the country’s on-going PACS program in the regions of Murcia, Cantabria, La Rioja, Galicia, Navarra and Castilla-Leon, Spain. RED.ES selected Barco’s partner Telefonica Soluciones S.A. to supply Barco’s Coronis product line and MediCal QAWeb software, the Kortrijk, Belgium-based Barco said.

The Spanish Industry Ministry established Red.es to advise the local government authorities, Comunidades Autonomas, with their purchases of IT equipment.
