Spectrum Health to document cath labs with Wolters' software

Spectrum Health, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based nonprofit integrated health system, will deploy health IT company Wolters Kluwer Health’s ProVation MD software for cardiology procedure documentation and coding in the cardiac cath labs at Blodgett Hospital and Butterworth Hospital.

ProVation MD allows clinicians to document medical procedures at the point of care, then applies the appropriate reimbursement codes and interfaces with cardiovascular nursing, imaging and measurement systems, according to Wolters Kluwer.

Serving western Michigan, Spectrum includes a medical center, regional community hospitals, a children's hospital and a multispecialty medical group, the company added.
