Texas facility deploys Corepoint interop technology

OakBend Medical Center, of Richmond, Texas, has implemented Corepoint Health’s Corepoint Integration Engine to integrate its information systems.

OakBend, which averages 240 physicians on staff with more than 25 specialties, chose the Corepoint interfacing technology following the hospital's implementation of McKesson’s Paragon hospital information system (HIS), according to Corepoint, based in Frisco, Texas.

In addition to managing connections from its Paragon HIS to other McKesson systems such as Horizon Blood Bank and Horizon Patient Folder, OakBend Medical Center manages connections to a variety of vendor systems, including Phillips Healthcare's iSite, Intellicure and GE Healthcare's Centricity, Corepoint stated.

Since implementing the system, OakBend has been able to use Corepoint Integration Engine and its logging and management features to diagnose and help resolve issues between vendor systems, Corepoint added. Moreover, OakBend is able to test Paragon updates with Corepoint Integration Engine.
