Two centers tap Carestream for CR mammo

A pair of imaging centers have placed orders for Carestream's Kodak DirectView CR Mammography system, which enable mammography images to be captured digitally using new or existing Kodak DirectView CR systems.

MetroSouth Medical Center, in Blue Island, Ill., integrated thesystem into two CR systems, which together enable the staff to perform 400 mammography exams a month, while at the Simpsonville, S.C.-based Diagnostic Center of the Carolinas, conversion to digital mammography enabled physicians to provide faster results to its patients, according to the Rochester, N.Y.-based provider of digital imaging technology.

Another eight facilities have ordered the company's CR mammography system, stated Carestream Health.
