Two Irish clinics choose Misys' pathology information system

Misys Healthcare Systems will deploy its anatomic pathology information systems at two Irish healthcare clinics.

The company announced that Bon Secours Clinic in Cork and Blackrock Clinic in Dublin are replacing their pathology legacy system with Misys' CoPathPlus. HL7 compliant, the system can integrate with Misys CPR or any other computer-based patient record system.

Misys says the systems incorporate images and diagrams, and consist of an integrated report writer, a library of more than 200 report options -- such as cytology screening statistical requirements -- in addition to quality assurance and fast report turnaround functions. Other features include histology protocols, automated billing and SNOMED (the systematized nomenclature of medicine) coding.
