UniNet selects MedVentive to support ACO initiative

Physician hospital organization UniNet has selected accountable care organization (ACO) MedVentive to support its initiative to improve care and push toward an ACO model.

The Omaha, Neb.-based nonprofit UniNet, representing 11 hospitals and affiliates across the greater Omaha area, will actively manage the health and financial risk of employees at Alegent Health and Creighton University Medical Center, according to MedVentive, of Waltham, Mass.

UniNet will tap MedVentive’s best practices and associated tools and technology to identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as physician efficiency, clinical guideline compliance, pharmacy, and inpatient and outpatient utilization. UniNet then will initiate automated outreach programs that improve member health, the organizations added.
