Vanguard Health Systems picks McKesson Horizon Clinicals suite

To bolster its eHealth initiatives, Vanguard Health Systems has announced that it will install McKesson's Horizon Clinicals suite of IT systems as part of a multi-year agreement. Each Vanguard facility will use the Horizon systems to standardize and enhance the effectiveness of business office processes, clinical care and patient safety, as well as increase quality and performance in emergency rooms, laboratories, radiology units and pharmacies. Vanguard hospitals are located in Phoenix, Ariz., Chicago and San Antonio, Texas.
