Varian places RapidArc in New York

Varian Medical Systems has installed its RapidArc radiotherapy technology at Cancer Care of Western New York, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based firm reported.

The technology allows for a highly-precise form of image-guided radiation therapy (IMRT) that targets tumors quickly and accurately while minimizing exposure of surrounding healthy tissue, according to Varian.
