Varian systems added to German hospital cancer center

Klinikum Passau in Germany has added Varian Medical Systems’ image-guided radiotherapy therapy and a Clinac linear accelerator, which has been retrofitted with an On-Board Imager accessory, according to the Palo Alto, Calif.-based Varian.

The Klinikum health system, which houses 624 beds for its 24,000 annual patients, treats approximately 80 patients a day on its two linear accelerators.
