VCU Medical Center uses eMix to share rad reports
Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center (VCUMC) in Richmond, Va., is now using cloud-based technology eMix from DR Systems for sharing imaging studies and reports.
VCUMC is currently receiving radiology images and reports from four medical organizations:
eMix enables sharing of images and reports among disparate institutions and physicians via the internet, according to the San Diego-based DR Systems. Because eMix is a cloud-based, hosted service, hospitals and other healthcare providers do not need to purchase or maintain additional hardware or software, the company added.
VCUMC is currently receiving radiology images and reports from four medical organizations:
- Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Va.;
- eHealth Global Technologies in Rochester, N.Y.;
- Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Va.; and
- Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock, Va.
