Virginia provider taps McKesson for IT suite

The Chesapeake Hospital Authority in Virginia has selected McKesson to provide an EMR, an automated medication management process and integrated revenue management capabilities at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

"This new system will allow us to continue improving our clinical quality, patient safety and quality initiatives," said Christopher Mosley, Chesapeake Regional's president and CEO.

The medical center also will implement McKesson's revenue management solution to automate operational and financial processes, according to the company

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is a 310-bed healthcare facility in Chesapeake, Va., that serves southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
