Virtual Radiologic to provide teleradiology services for VHA members

Virtual Radiologic, a provider of teleradiology services, has signed a multi-year agreement with VHA, a U.S. healthcare alliance, to be the single-source provider of teleradiology services for VHA's 1,429 community-based hospital members.

The Minneapolis-based Virtual Radiologic said its radiologists, who are licensed in all 50 states and certified by the American Board of Radiologists, perform preliminary and final read interpretations for emergent and non-emergent needs.

With 16 U.S. offices, the Irving, Texas-based VHA serves more than 1,400 not-for-profit hospitals and more than 23,000 non-acute care organizations nationwide.
