Welsh hospital to integrate Barco's advanced visualization tool

Glan Clwyd Hospital in Wales has invested significantly to integrate Barco’s Voxar 3D Enterprise into its Fujifilm Synapse PACS.

Voxar 3D Enterprise also facilitates real-time access to full workstation functionality and clinical applications by using powerful, off-the-shelf, server-based technology and high-performance ATI graphics processing units, according to Barco.

Glan Clwyd Hospital had used Voxar 3D Workstation for three years before deciding to upgrade to Voxar 3D Enterprise. The hospital said that the Voxar 3D Enterprise was chosen for the short-term archiving of thin-slice datasets, which adds convenience and extra speed to the processing of volumetric studies.
