Wis. provider taps Carestream for RIS, PACS, reporting

St. Croix Regional Medical Center has ordered Carestream Health's Vue RIS+PACS+Reporting to provide access to information and images for onsite and offsite physicians.

Carestream’s RIS+PACS+Reporting offers scheduling capabilities, reading and data sharing tools and integration with a NextGen EMR. The center will use Carestream’s Vue Motion vendor-neutral viewer to offer mobile access to images and reports to clinicians and referring physicians.

St. Croix Regional Medical Center operates an urgent care center and five clinics in St. Croix Falls, Wis., and the surrounding communities.

Carestream said its web-based Vue RIS is certified as an EMR module and satisfies Stage 1 meaningful use requirements. The Vue PACS offers advanced visualization, 3D post-processing, dictation, critical results notification and a mammography module. Carestream Vue Motion provides access to imaging data and patient information stored on a PACS or archive using a web browser or EMR portal. The viewer has FDA clearance for use with Apple iPads and displays DICOM or non-DICOM data stored in PACS or archives from Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream or other vendors.
