6 million people in U.S. exposed to water that can cause cancer
New research shows a significant number of Americans are drinking tap water that could give them cancer.
A study conducted at Harvard University shows that more than 6 million people are exposed to water that contain poisonous industrial chemicals that can cause cancer and other health problems.
The researchers collected 36,000 water samples from around the country through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and found an abundance of a chemical called PFAS. The highest concentration of PFASs were found in Newark, Delaware.
