Amicas, IDX score well in KLAS mid-year report card

Amicas Inc., a subsidiary of VitalWorks Inc. and provider of web-based PACS, has received the top rating for its image management software in the KLAS Top 20: 2004 Mid-Year Report Card. IDX Systems Corp. also announced that its IDX Flowcast was ranked among the Top 20 products in healthcare IT in two separate categories in the report.

Evaluated against a total of 14 PACS vendors, AMICAS received the highest overall score on a 100-point scale, based on KLAS' detailed customer survey of healthcare information technology data contributed by thousands of healthcare executives and professionals. The database represents the feedback of more than 4,500 healthcare facilities evaluating 300-plus vendors and more than 500 products.

The report marks the fifth consecutive survey IDX's Flowcast was recognized among the top 20 products for its performance in the Acute Care Registration/Scheduling/Patient Accounting category, and the third consecutive survey Flowcast achieved recognition among the top 20 products for performance in the Ambulatory Billing & Scheduling category for large healthcare organizations.
