Merge Healthcare's Fusion RIS/PACS MX

Merge Healthcare (Booth 4058) is showcasing medical imaging software and services for imaging practice, value-added reseller (VAR) and OEM customers. The firm is  highlighting new services and technologies on display by its direct imaging division (Fusion solution suite) and its OEM division (Cedara solution suite).

Merge is demonstrating eFilm RIS/PACS, its Fusion PACS MX 3.0 with integrated digital mammography, and Fusion RIS/PACS MX 4.2. In addition, the company is showing a works-in-progress version of a new Fusion Billing solution for revenue cycle management capabilities, as well as a look at its upcoming Fusion Web solutions for enhanced referring practice and patient portals.

The firm is spotlighting its Fusion RIS/PACS GL for international imaging practices, a solution is designed to meet specific requirements for European, Middle Eastern and African countries.  It features robust information workflow and powerful image visualization, with management features including embedded dictation, embedded document management, web-enabled distribution of clinical and business information, and billing and practice analysis workflow.

The company’s Cedara group is highlighting Cedara WebAccess, a thin-client solution that provides fast and easy access to images and reports for the referring physician. This solution requires no download or installation on a client machine and hence requires minimal maintenance and support. By integrating Cedara WebAccess into PACS applications, OEMs can offer their customers significantly reduced film printing, CD burning and report distribution costs, the company says.

Cedara I-Reach capabilities as a complete web-enabled PACS that facilitates internet viewing and diagnostic reading of images, is being demonstrated. It includes a full diagnostic viewing application of choice, a variety of clinical applications, a web server to manage user access and preferences, and a DICOM-compliant archiving solution designed with a scalable architecture to allow for business growth. I-Reach seamlessly launches clinical applications to provide an integrated solution for viewing and reading needs using the company’s C4 plug-in technology. Cedara says I-Reach can now be configured to launch into the eFilm plug-in, allowing customers to launch their favorite DICOM viewer in a web-enabled environment.
