Quantum wins Idaho digital x-ray deal

Medical equipment manufacturer Quantum Medical Imaging has completed an installation of its DiRex digital system, which includes a digitally integrated Quantum radiographic system and Agfa DX-S CR system, at Intermountain Orthopedics in Boise, Idaho.

Turn-Key Medical, a U.S. Quantum gold-star dealer ates, facilitated the sale and installation.

The Long Island, N.Y.-based Quantum said its DiRex system combines a floor-mounted tube stand radiographic system, which allows for a compact, but complete radiographic system, enabling a complement of radiographic procedures and the Agfa DX-S CR system. Through digital integration, a single operator user interface provides one-step anatomical selection of all x-ray techniques and image processing factors, according to the company. Quantum’s TechVision tube-side display allows control of x-ray parameters and also provides image preview.
