AHRQ issues resources for health IT implementers
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) National Resource Center for Health IT has released several new resources to address open challenges facing the health IT community.
The first resource, "Liability Coverage for Regional Health Information Organizations," provides lessons from AHRQ-funded projects on how to navigate the immature and complicated landscape of liability within a health information exchange environment.
A second resource, the Health IT Evaluation Toolkit, is a workbook to help healthcare organizations develop a plan to measure and report on the impact of health IT systems.
A third resource, the "AHRQ-Funded Project Resources Archive," features more than 50 resources created by AHRQ grants and contracts. Examples include vendor selection materials, project management forms, clinical content committee information guides, and a sample medication reconciliation checklist for patients to complete while they wait to see their primary care doctor.
