Amirsys integrates with Sectra to streamline PACS

AMIRSYS announced last week that it has integrated its STATdx with Sectra PACS to provide diagnostic clinical decision support to radiologists and other physicians at the point-of-care.

As a result, PACS users will be able to automatically obtain diagnostic clinical decision support information while at the workstation. The integration automatically detects the anatomical region of the study and launches STATdx to the appropriate anatomical region for quick reference to confirm difficult diagnoses.

"With this technological breakthrough, a Sectra PACS user now has all of the resources of STATdx with a click of the PACS mouse," said David Avrin, MD, PhD, senior vice president, Amirsys, in a release. "Seemless communication between STATdx and PACS auto-launches STATdx to the exact anatomical area as specified in the imaging protocol."

The new technology shows early potential to make a significant impact on imaging workflows and patient care.
