ASRT elects new members to board of directors
Members of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) have elected three new officers to its board of directors; the new members will start their terms following the conclusion of the 2009 ASRT Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 11-14, in Albuquerque, N.M.
The new board members are:
In accordance with ASRT bylaws, current president-elect Diane Mayo, RT, will becbome the ASRT's president for the 2009-2010 term and she will become the chairman of the board. Mayo is the quality assurance coordinator for the diagnostic imaging department at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Miss.
The new board members are:
- James B. Temme, MPA, RT, elected to serve as ASRT's next president-elect, is the associate director of radiation science technology education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Temme currently serves as ASRT's vice president.
- Dawn McNeil, MSM, RT, who now serves as the society's secretary-treasurer, was elected to the vice president post. McNeil is the director of diagnostic imaging at Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, Colo.
- Victoria Maxey, RT, who is the board's newly elected secretary-treasurer, is a staff radiographer at Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates in Tulsa, Okla.
