ASTRO elects 2005 officers

The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) released the results of the recent election for the open positions on the Board of Directors and within two councils.

The new officers include:
  • President-elect: K. Kian Ang, MD, PhD, MD, Anderson Cancer Center, Houston.

  • Government Relations Council Vice-chair: Albert L. Blumberg, MD, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Baltimore.

  • Education Council Vice-chair:  Anthony L. Zietman, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

The new officers will begin their terms during ASTRO's 46th Annual Meeting, October 3rd-7th, in Atlanta.
