ASTRO seeks abstracts for 2004 meeting
The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) is accepting abstracts for its 46th annual meeting from October 3-7 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
The deadline is March 18.
Individuals are invited to submit one abstract in which they are the presenter or lead author. ASTRO says the abstracts should be educationally relevant to oncologists of all disciplines as well as physicists, biologists, nurses, dosimetrists, therapists and other professionals involved in radiation therapy.
The organization mandates that the abstracts must contain new material that has neither been submitted for publication nor accepted for presentation at another major medical meeting. Expert reviewers will grade submitted abstracts on content and, if accepted, the topic will be addressed in one of the following formats: proffered paper, poster discussion or poster display.
Abstracts must be submitted online at www.astro.org no later than March 18. Complete submission guidelines can be found at http://www.astro.org/pdf/AM2004/callforabstracts.pdf.
