Best Buy, Cardiac Science team up to spur physician IT adoption

Cardiac Science has partnered with Best Buy for Business, a unit of Best Buy, to assist physicians in the transition from paper to IT-based healthcare information systems.

Under the partnership, Bothell, Wash.-based Cardiac Science will still be responsible for medical device sales, installation, in-service training and technical support, while Best Buy will be in charge of pre-sales IT consulting, IT hardware and software sales of Cardiac Science computing and networking products.

Staff of Best Buy's Greek Squad will be used to install the systems and provide IT support to Cardiac Science customers. Best Buy for Business will help physicians choose Cardiac Science’s products including CareCenter MD and HeartCentrix.
