Cedara reports profitable 1Q in FY05

In the first quarter of FY05 ending September 30, Cedara Software Corp. reported a 22 percent increase in revenue to $12.3 million, compared with $10.1 million in the first quarter of FY04.

Net income increased 89 percent to $3.2 million, compared with a net income of $1.7 million in the year-ago quarter.

Operating results of eMed Technologies Corp., recently acquired by Cedara in October, are not reflected in this quarter's results and will be included in the quarter ending December 31.
