DeJarnette deploys fifth dyseCT
DeJarnette Research Systems Inc. deployed its fifth dyseCT system at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
Released at the end of 2003, DeJarnette says the system also is installed at Akron (Ohio) General Medical Center, University Hospital SUNY-Upstate Medical University (Syracuse, N.Y.) University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) Healthcare, and Maryland General Hospital (Baltimore).
The system is designed to address the problems associated with high-speed CT scanners that produce multiple procedure studies and a PACS (picture archiving and communication systems) that matches these multiple procedure studies to a single order, DeJarnette says. dyseCT identifies multiple procedure studies and modifies the DICOM modality worklist using a group procedure to replace the multiple procedure; analyses the images, associating them with a specific anatomical region automatically without manual intervention; and it separates the images in a multiple procedure study and associates those images with the appropriate orders.
