Eclipsys and Clinician Support Technology form alliance

Eclipsys Corp. will add Clinician Support Technology Inc. (CST) technology features to its line of advanced clinical, financial and management information software and services.

The partnership enables Eclipsys to provide specialty-specific content and communication in the areas of pediatrics and oncology for providers, patients and their families.

CST is an application service provider (ASP) of Internet-based, collaborative, healthware technology. Its products going to Eclipsys include CareLink, which combines Internet and digital imaging technologies, patient data and information security techniques to create highly secure patient portals.

CST's Baby CareLink fosters an environment in which parents may become more active in their baby's care. Using an Internet browser, parents may access an individualized knowledge base for the care of their newborn, receive daily updates, and track their baby's health and progress from any location. Parents also may communicate with their baby's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) through a secure messaging center and receive prescribed educational modules.
