Exxim Computing Corporation

Exxim Computing Corporation (Booth 4741), through its new business unit called Animage, is refining the first prototype of Fidex, a new multi-modality diagnostic imaging system designed for use in companion animal veterinary practice and research environments. This system combines CT for 3D imaging/visualization, DR, CR and fluoroscopy. All four modalities are contained in an apparatus that takes up just a bit more space than a standard veterinary digital radiography system. CT imaging is accomplished via cone-beam/C-arm scan technology often seen in human oral surgical practice, rather than via the fan-beam/helical scan technology used in most human medical environments. Fidex is projected to be available during the third quarter of 2009.
