FDA clears Aurora MR spectroscopy package

Aurora Imaging Technology has received 501(k) clearance from the FDA for AuroraSPECTROSCOPY, a breast MR spectroscopy package for its Aurora 1.5Tesla dedicated breast MRI system.

The availability of AuroraSPECTROSCOPY will allow Aurora 1.5T MR users to perform in vivo breast MR spectroscopy and MR spectroscopic imaging, according to the North Andover, Mass.-based company. AuroraSPECTROSCOPY was developed to supplement the company’s breast MRI by further improving the image specificity of the technology.
